Growing up, I was always surrounded by the vibrant flavors of scratch-made Mexican foods. My great-grandmother was a constant presence in the kitchen, flavor packed protiens and fresh handmade tortillas. Her homemade salsas were nothing short of outstanding.
My Aunt LaLa, may she rest in peace, was also an incredible cook. She practically lived in the kitchen, always wearing an apron. I have vivid memories of her preparing delicious foods stuffed in corn tortillas, topped with salsa, and a squeeze of lime. It was impossible to eat just one.
My journey into the culinary and restaurant business quickly made me appreciate the fast pace and bustling environments of packed restaurants. I have been fortunate to work with some of the best in the DFW area.
